Tswaing - the Venue

EARTHDANCE will be held at the Tswaing Crater Park, (just outside of Pretoria) over the 12th & 13th October 2002.
As well as being an incredibly beautiful nature reserve with wild animals and a large variety of birds, trees and plants, Tswaing ('Place of Salt') is also the home of a 220 000 year old meteorite impact crater. This crater is one of the youngest and best-preserved meteorite impact sites in the world. With its magical and tranquil energy and the fact that it is held sacred by the locals, it only seems apt that we should hold Earthdance here, at the same time involving the local community.
As the Crater itself is regarded sacred space, the Earthdance party will take place just a few hundred meters away in the 'Kgotla' ("Gathering Space"). This space has been built with love by its community who live there and it is a most magical space.
