Dates:

Earthdance begins on Thursday the 24th of September (Heritage Day, a public holiday) and carries on until Sunday the 27th of September.

Entrance times are: Thursday 10H00 – 22H00; Friday 10H00 – 24H00; Saturday 10H00 right through to Sunday morning.

Costs:

A full four day pass (Thu-Sun) is R300 (or R270 prebooked through Strictly Tickets).

A pass for Saturday - Sunday is R180 (R150 prebooked through Strictly Tickets).

Children under 12 get in free.

Camping:

Ample camping space is available at no extra cost and there will be ablutions. Please make sure you bring everything you might need, like sunblock, camping chairs, umbrellas, pots and pans for the communal cooking area (no fires at campsites), and so on. Recycling will be available at the venue. Pets, weapons, etc. are not allowed. Right of admission is reserved.

Venue:

This year's Earthdance is at SMOKE, an awesome new outdoor venue near Hennops River.

Directions:

From Harties: Follow R511 towards Sandton. Cross over toll road (N4 west), large Four-way stop. Continue STRAIGHT towards Sandton, and then follow the 'Pretoria' directions.

From Pretoria: Take Church street towards Harties (West, where de sun sets, ) At the big four-way stop, turn LEFT towards Sandton. (Harties is right, toll road N4 west is also on your right.) Cross the Hennops river ONCE. 200m after the Hennops, there is a turning LEFT: Schurveberg road. Turn left onto this (dirt) road.  Follow directions below.

From Joburg: Take William Nichol, which becomes the R511. Pass Diepsloot, through N14 (Kdorp highway) intersection. Pass castle garage on your right and a few KMs later, TURN LEFT following the 511; do not continue straight! (Straight, the road becomes the M26).  (There are numerous signs for 'Tatz' and 'Mangwanani' 'Hartbeespoort' and others).  Pass Idlewinds, past Tatz Junction, Past Hennops Pride, Past Greek Taverna (All these are on your left) 5km past the Greek taverna, there is a sign for Hennops picnic spot, Mangwanani sign and SCHURVEBERG to the right. TURN RIGHT onto this dirt road and see directions below.

From Krugersdorp/Western Jhb: Take N14 towards Pretoria. Take exit 309, marked Hartbeespoort/Sandton, and then turn RIGHT onto the R511 towards Hartbeespoort. (Castle garage is on your right.)  TURN LEFT following the 511; do not continue straight! (Straight, the road becomes the M26).  (There are numerous signs for 'Tatz' and 'Mangwanani' 'Hartbeespoort' and others).  Pass Idlewinds, past Tatz Junction, Past Hennops Pride, Past Greek Taverna (All these are on your left) 5km past the Greek taverna, there is a sign for Hennops picnic spot, Mangwanani sign and SCHURVEBERG to the right. ALL take note of further directions :
Take this (dirt) road for 800 m. There is a sharp corner LEFT.   In this corner there is a turning RIGHT, marked on the telephone poles as "Blue road". Turn right. Drive 200m and turn down between the dragons. If you cross the Hennops river again, you have missed the turn off!!

Accommodation:

If you don’t want to rough it and camp at the venue, there is great accommodation available at Red Ivory Backpackers. They offer Double Rooms with a Queen bed, en-suite bathroom and private balcony for R350 per night, including a breakfast. They also have single bed rooms that sleep 4, 6 or 8 people at R150 per person per night, including a breakfast.
